S.W. Florida Quilters Guild to Award Veterans Quilts to Veterans Foundation

The Southwest Florida Quilters' Guild annual "American Quilts: Traditions & Innovations" Show will award several Veterans theme quilts to the Veterans Foundation on Saturday, Jan. 14th at Grace Community Center, 4151 Hancock Bridge Road, North Ft. Myers, Fl.  At 3:00 PM.
Veterans will be admitted free with ID, Non-Veterans Ticket: $7.00.
 
The Show will be open January 13 & 14, 2012. Hours Friday 9-5 and
Saturday 9-4.
 
Mark your calendars and plan to attend and support your Veterans Foundation and The S.W. Florida Quilters Guild.

Join us on January 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Cruiser's Lounge at 1517 SE 47th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL . For a benefit/tribute for Bobby Stramm, who has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
 
A portion of the proceeds will be presented to "Barbara's Friends" at the Children's Hospital of SWFL- Health Park.
 
The Poker Run is at 9:00 AM at Cruisers' with the first bike out at 10:00 AM and last bike in at 2:00PM. Entry fee is $10.00 with includes food at the end of the "Run".
 
The Pool Tournament is at 3:00 PM. Sign-up at 2:30 PM. Entry fee is $10.00  and includes food.
 
There will be Italian Food, Live Music, Raffles, and Children are welcome,

 Donates Bus to IAVF
Dear Eric,
We want to thank Lou Simmons of the CRA, Councilman Kevin McGrail, and Lee County Commisioners for their assistance in obtaining the bus.

 It is our intent to make this into a mobile military museum that will travel to our local schools and other public places and events in order to bring our military history to the general population.

Veterans Foundation Opens Restaurant

The Veterans Foundation of Cape Coral is pleased to announce the opening of their new " Vet Center Mess Hall & Ballroom and lounge" located at 4709 S.E. 11th Pl, Cape Coral, FL
 
The facility will be non-smoking. There is a smoking space available for those customers that do smoke.
 
We will be open Monday through Sunday from 11:30am till 8:00pm.
 
The restaurant will be run by the Veterans Foundation, with prices very reasonable. So remember to stop by and give us a try.
 
Also, our ballroom is available for private parties and event of all kinds with catering from our own kitchens.
 
Our opening date is February 20th, 2012. We are located next to the VFW Post # 8463 at 4709 S.E. 11th Place, Cape Coral, FL.
 
Also keep an eye out for our " Made in America Store" opening soon at 1411 Cape Coral Pkwy. , Cape Coral, FL. Our store will feature items made solely in America.
